Add the whole wheat flour to the pan and dry roast it on low to medium heat, stirring constantly.Step 2Roast until the flour turns golden brown and releases aroma. This should take about 10-12 minutes. Turn off the heat and make sure you do not burn the flour. In the same pan, heat the ghee. Once hot, add fennel seeds and sauté them for about 30 seconds until they begin to release their flavor. Step 3Add the chopped nuts and saute for a few minutes until they turn golden and slightly crispy. Then add in the seeds and toss them as well.Add the dried fruits and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until the dried fruits soften a bit. Lower the heat and add the roasted whole wheat flour back into the pan with the ghee and nuts.Step 4Stir well to combine the flour, ghee, and nuts mixture.Add the cardamom powder, nutmeg, and saffron strands. Mix everything well and add jaggery/sugar. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture becomes slightly sticky and everything is well blended. Lastly, add in desiccated coconut at this stage, continue stirring for 3-5 minutes, turn off the heat, and transfer to a bowl; let it cool down and enjoy!
