Lauki Ka Paratha for summer breakfast

Lauki Ka Paratha is a healthy and tasty Indian flatbread, perfect for breakfast. Made with grated bottle gourd (lauki), whole wheat flour, and simple spices, it is hydrating and light on the gut. It is soft and nutritious and is best served with pickle and curd. Take a loom at the recipe.

Ingredients


2 cups whole wheat flour, 1 cup grated lauki, 1 green chilli, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, salt to taste, 1 tbsp coriander leaves, and ghee for cooking

Step 1


Peel, wash, and grate lauki and set it aside.

Transfer to a mixing bowl, add flour and salt to it. Mix well.

Chop coriander and chili and add to the bowl along with all the spices.

Knead a soft dough, avoid adding extra water. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Roll out parathas and in the meantime, preheat the tawa on medium flame.

Cook the paratha using enough oil or ghee on both sides.

Once done, roll and serve hot with curd and pickle on the side.
