2021 was a year to remember for Bollywood. Speaking of joy and new beginnings, we don’t just want to confine ourselves to new projects and films that grossed the highest amounts but we’re talking about the domestic front and developments that took place in the personal lives of our favorite celebrities.
As Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s wedding became the primary highlight of the year, the previous year and quarantine also saw many pregnancy announcements made by celeb couples in addition to weddings as quarantine provided everyone with the much-needed break and focus on themselves and their personal lives.
Even though most couples had a ‘normal’ pregnancy, there have always been unconventional parents in Bollywood who chose alternate ways to conception and parenthood, be it Sushmita Sen adopting her daughters or Farah Khan having triplets through In-vitro Fertilization. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli
Actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli took the world by surprise when they released pictures of their Italian wedding on December 1, 2017. The couple has been giving us major couple goals since then and last year they announced their pregnancy with an adorable Instagram post. They welcomed their daughter Vamika on January 11 this year. The couple has not shared any pictures of the baby yet and wish to be respected for their decision.

Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi
Actress Neha Dhupia tied the knot with her ‘best friend’ as she mentioned in her instagram post, on 10 May 2018 and the couple welcomed their first daughter Mehr in November the same year. The pregnancy raised many eyebrows but the equal amount of unconditional love and celebration that the couple received left no doubt about the changing mindset and acceptance of the present generation. The couple welcomed their second child, a baby boy on October 3 this year.

Dia Mirza
Just like Neha Dhupia, actress Dia Mirza also welcomed her baby boy soon after she got married to businessman Sahil Sanga. Her son, Avyaan was born on May 14 and the actress posted a picture of herself cradling the baby lovingly with a heart-warming caption that explained how she had a premature C-section delivery. The actress and her husband Gene Goodenough had twins through surrogacy on November 18 and the proud parents announced the birth of their babies with an Instagram post. The couple has been married for five years and live in California in the United States. The internet showered the couple with congratulatory messages and appreciation for their unconventional decision in abundance.

Geeta Basra and Harbhajan Singh
Actress Geeta Basra and cricketer Harbhajan Singh also welcomed their second child this year. The couple was blessed with a baby boy on July 10, 2021. Their daughter, who they have named Hinaya, was born in 2016.
Shreya Ghoshal
The singer announced her pregnancy earlier in March this year. She is married to entrepreneur Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya since 2015 and the couple welcomed their baby boy Devyaan Mukhopadhyaya on 22 May this year.
