Brace up folks. The mouth-watering Badminton final is just half an hour away. Another gold medal, maybe? Well, your guess is as good as ours.

12:03 PM (IST)

Day 5 recap so far: FIVE medals and counting...

So, on an eventful fifth day, India have pocketed FIVE medals - one golds, two silvers and two bronze. And we haven't even reached the tip of the icerberg yet. The big one is yet to come, where the Indian mixed badminton team takes on Malaysia for another GOLD at stake. Do NOT, and we mean. Do NOT leave this space. We have plenty more lined up for you.

11:23 AM (IST)

In the +90kg weightlifting event, Purnima Pandey has succesfully lifted 110 kg, 115 kg, 118 kg in three attempts. Currently placed at the top, her ranking is likely to dip considering the higher weights other lifters have targetted

10:45 AM (IST)

Smit Singh just about makes it to the Men's skeet final by finishing sixth. The top 6 qualify.

10:23 AM (IST)

Back to back errors from Lalchhanhimi

Not the best of starts for Lalchhanhimi. Began well with a snatch lift of 85kgs, but fails in her next two attempts to lift 89. Meanwhile, another women's weightlifting category is underway. In the +90kg event, Purnima Pandey has secured snatch lifts worth 85, 89 and 94 kg. With many vying for heavier weights, a podium finish seems unlikely for her.

09:49 AM (IST)

Jitu Rai must be feeling JHAKAAS!

09:46 AM (IST)

FYI - Mehuli and Veloso have also broken the Commonwealth Games record with their score of 247.2

09:32 AM (IST)

It's a 2-3 finish for India. Mehuli Ghosh, at just 17 years of age, takes silver in the women's 10m air rifle event. Chandela gets Bronze

Incredible scenes at the Belmont Shooting Centre. It all culminatged with a shootoff between Ghosh and Veloso for the GOLD medal after finishing at a score of 247.2 each. GOOSEBUMPS. And then, it was up to the final effort, where Mehuli fell just .4 points lower than Veloso. But what a way to arrive, Mehuli. Well done!

09:26 AM (IST)

Defending champion Apurvi Chandela secures bronze. The battle for gold is between Mehuli Ghosh and ML Veloso

09:15 AM (IST)

So that's how the current standings look like. Remember, Chandela is the defending champion

09:13 AM (IST)

Just In: Manish Kaushik successful in his round of 16 bout against T&T's Alexander, wins 4-0 with the third round ending in a 28-28 verdict.

09:05 AM (IST)

Women's 10m air rifle underway. Defending champion Apurvi Chandela in action. Can she extend India's domination in shooting at CWG 2018?

08:51 AM (IST)

We're still just warming up ladies and gents.

After Gaurav Solanki's win, we are set to bring you another boxing content. India's Manish Kaushik takes on T&T's Michael Alexander in the men's 60 kg Round of 16 bout. About to start anytime now.

08:20 AM (IST)

Another winner from India. This one has emerged from the Oxenford Studios, where boxer Gaurav Solanki has pummelled his way to men's 52kg event quarterfinal. He dished out a lesson in boxing to Ghana's Akimos Annang Ampiah. And as expected, the win came via a unanimous call.

07:59 AM (IST)

And that's another GOLD. Jitu Rai takes the top honours in the men's 10m air pistol with a score of 235.1, which is Commonwealth Games record. India's other medal contender, Om Mitharval, claims BRONZE.

What a clinical performance this has been from India's premier shooter. After the second round, Jitu secured the top spot in the eliminations, and he never slipped from there, till the time he became India's 8th GOLD medal at CWG 2018.

07:46 AM (IST)

Jitu Rai and Om Mitharval keeping India in the hunt as we enter the eliminations

07:44 AM (IST)

07:40 AM (IST)

Well done, men's Table Tennis team. A place in the final confirmed

Sharath Kamla beats Xue Jie Pang 11-5, 12-10, 12-10. India make it 3-2 against Singapore
