Fuller in length and on middle, Abdullah Shafique with a straight bat drives it firmly but a bit uppishly down the pitch. Lance Morris shows excellent reflexes to grab it with both hands in his follow-through. The opening stand of 84 runs has been broken and Shafique departs for 37 off 53.

The umpires decide to take the drinks break too! It’s been one-way traffic all game, with Pakistan firmly in control and on the brink of sealing the match and the series. Just 67 runs stand between them and victory, and the openers will be eager to carry on and see their side home. For Australia, nothing has clicked so far, and they’ll need a miracle, or perhaps pull a rabbit out of the hat, to turn things around in a game that has all but slipped away. Saim Ayub is now good to continue!
