However, UPW overcame the total with Harleen playing the lead role and Phoebe Litchfield (25 off 22 balls) and skipper Meg Lanning (25 off 26) making useful contributions with the bat.

With the ball, she was held back until the 15th over but made an immediate impact, dismissing an in-form Lizelle Lee and finishing with 2 for 26 from three overs. In the opening game as well, she bowled only three overs.
With Navi Mumbai surfaces beginning to show signs of wear and offering assistance to slower bowlers, UPW could benefit from involving Deepti more prominently, both with bat and ball.
In the opening game against RCB, she delivered a controlled spell, returning figures of 1 for 18 from three overs. Against Gujarat Giants, she endured a tougher outing with the ball, conceding 48 runs, but responded with a crucial innings, scoring 40 off 26 balls.
Her knock played a key role in a 72-run partnership with Harmanpreet Kaur that swung the match MI’s way. Amanjot’s ability to influence games even when one discipline does not go to plan has added balance to the side and strengthened MI’s middle order as the tournament progresses.
