So 59 is the target for Australia Under-19 to get their third win in the group stage. It seems like an easy job for the batters of the side, but we have seen miracles happen in this sport. So take a break, refill your snacks as the second inning will commense in sometime.
Sri Lanka's highest partnership in the inning was just 12 runs and Chamika Heentigala is the player who scored the most in their camp. This simply summarises how the inning when for them. By the end of the inning, William Byrom got his fifer, Charles Lachmund and Kasey Barton bagged two each and Hayden Schiller chipped in for one.
Sri Lanka Under-19 just could not get going at all. They lost both their openers in the third over of the game and it was none other than Charles Lachmund who picked both the wickets. The wickets then just tumbled one by one, and William Byrom then stepped up to get rid of the entire top and middle-order batters of Sri Lanka. The Lankan camp was simply outplayed by their opposition. They tried to get a hold on the wicket by not playing big shots, but the lines and lengths of the bowlers were so tight that the Lankan batters couldn't restrict the Aussies from picking wickets.
Undoubtedly, the best bowling performance of this World Cup so far! Australia Under-19 have just dismantled Sri Lanka Under-19 here. Their plan started to work the moment they opted to bowl first. At the time of toss, their skipper, Oliver Peake, said that the best way to counter the Lankan batters is to attack them with pacers, and oh boy, they have done it outstandingly well. Special credit to William Byrom for getting his FIVE-FER, and the moment will surely stay forever with him.
