We are moments away from the first ball in the Super Four stage, but before that, Charith Asalanka and Litton Das lead their respective sides out for the national anthems. Before that, a minute’s silence will be observed in memory of Mr. Suranga Wellalage, the father of Dunith Wellalage. The Sri Lankan players are also wearing black armbands as a mark of respect. It will be Bangladesh's national anthem first, followed by that of Sri Lanka.
PITCH REPORT - Urooj Mumtaz is near the deck. She informs that this game will be played on pitch number 3, the same track where the UAE played against Pakistan. Adds that there is a 12-meter difference between the two square boundaries. Sanjay Manjrekar joins her and shares that this deck looks a bit drier. Manjrekar opines that Bangladesh's decision to bowl first is based on the past record of this venue. Sanjay further says that chasing will be easy if the dew comes in, but if it doesn't, batting second could be difficult given the dry nature of the surface.

The skipper of Sri Lanka, Charith Asalanka, says that he would have bowled first as well, but he doesn't mind batting first as it's a used pitch. Continues that he is happy that new players are coming out from different regions of his country and he is happy that they are having a platform to perform. The captain of Bangladesh, Litton Das admits that he is not sure how the wicket will play, but going by the numbers favouring the chasing side, they have made the decision to bowl first. Mentions that they, as a side, are excited to get the opportunity to play three games in the Super Four stage. Adds that he is happy with the way the team has performed so far.
