After Formula E wins, Antonio Felix da Costa set for WEC comeback at 6 Hours of Imola
Antonio Felix da Costa is riding high after securing two consecutive wins in Formula E this season. The Jaguar TCS Racing driver triumphed in Jeddah before going on to win the maiden Madrid E-Prix. The 34-year-old has now confirmed his return to the World Endurance Championship, with a drive in the 6 Hours of Imola.
Da Costa simply replied “Voilà” in the comments. He will take part in the iconic Imola race as part of the Alpine team. The event is scheduled to take place at Italy’s Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari from 17–19 April, with the race set to begin at 1 pm local time on 19 April.
Da Costa last competed in the championship in 2023 with Hertz Team Jota in the Hypercar category.
After a slow start with Jaguar TCS Racing following his move from Porsche, da Costa secured his first win with the team in Round 5 in Jeddah. He followed that up with another victory in Round 6 in Madrid.
Speaking after his double win, da Costa said, “Back-to-back wins, a 1–2 for the team - that doesn’t happen often! Massive congratulations to all the boys and girls back in the UK providing us with these cars. It’s kind of a home race for me. I have a lot of friends and family here and it’s a bit of a dream day. We’re both winners, we both wanted to win, we just got different messages. We’ll work it out. I’m happy for Mitch [Evans], he must have done an amazing race, I’ve got to go back and watch that because he came from the back! I’m happy with what we executed today, and it’s a dream day.”
He is using the current break in the Formula E calendar to compete in the World Endurance Championship. He will return to Formula E action for the Berlin double-header, scheduled from 1–3 May.
