Formula E rookie Josep ‘Pepe’ Marti shares glimpse of girlfriend and off-track life in New Year post
Josep ‘Pepe’ Marti is all geared up for the New Year, which will mark his first full season as a full-time Formula E driver. The Spaniard recently made his Formula E debut with Cupra Kiro at the Sao Paulo E-Prix, lining up alongside teammate Dan Ticktum. As he looks ahead to what lies next, Marti shared a reflective New Year post on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse into his personal life, including moments with his girlfriend.
The photos highlight the first half of Marti’s year, during which he competed in the Formula 2 championship with Campos Racing as a member of the Red Bull Junior Team. He exited the series midway through the season to switch to Formula E, but not before delivering an impressive run that included five podium finishes, three of which were victories.
Several images also capture Marti enjoying life away from the racetrack. From vacations in snow-covered mountains to a shirtless moment at sea, the Cupra Kiro driver is seen embracing downtime. Other photos show him cycling, cooking, indulging in dessert, and participating in specialised workout sessions aimed at sharpening his racing skills. One picture features Marti at a stadium, taking a selfie with a family member, while his girlfriend also appears in a few frames from the photo dump.
Singer Daniela Blasco, who is rumoured to be dating Marti, reacted to the post with a comment that read, “I loveeeeeeeeeee,” accompanied by two red heart emojis.
Fans were quick to flood the comments section with support and encouragement. One wrote, “Bring it on 2026!!!!!!!!! with you always,” while another added, “We are super proud of you and I hope you know that.” A third comment read, “Merry Christmas and here’s to all that’s to come.”
While Marti fortunately escaped without injury, the crash forced him to retire from the race, bringing an abrupt end to what was meant to be a landmark debut weekend in Formula E.
