The moment that caught everyone’s attention came when Paris reacted to Fury’s latest decision. In the show’s trailer, she repeated his pattern in a sarcastic tone.“‘I’m retired, I’m not retired’… He’s a t*** isn’t he,” Paris said.

Her reaction quickly went viral because it showed what many close to Fury might feel. This is not the first time he has stepped away and then returned. In fact, Fury first spoke about retirement over a decade ago when his fights with David Haye were cancelled.

He later stepped away again in 2016 during a difficult period in his life. Then, after beating Dillian Whyte in 2022, he once again said he was done. Most recently, Fury retired after losing to Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024.

Now, he is preparing to fight again. Fury is set to face Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This comeback shows that he is still not ready to walk away from boxing just yet.

At the same time, there is growing talk about a much bigger fight. Fans have been waiting years to see Tyson Fury take on Anthony Joshua. The two were once expected to fight when they both held world titles, but that never happened.

Even now, after both fighters have lost twice to Oleksandr Usyk, the interest in that fight has not gone away. Many still believe it could happen soon.

Boxing insider Gareth A. Davies shared a strong claim about this matchup. He said, “The Fury-Joshua fight is signed. OK, it is signed in the background. I’ve got that on good authority.”

He added, “It’s with the big money people. It’ll be on Netflix. It’s agreed. They are moving towards it, but they both want the fight.”

For now, Fury’s focus is on his upcoming bout in April. But if things go as expected, a long-awaited clash with Anthony Joshua could finally happen in late 2026 or early 2027.
