Serena Williams shares a cozy bedtime selfie with her kids, offering a glimpse into a quieter side of life that is far from the packed stadiums and sporty outlook. The image surfaced on her Instagram story. In the sweet, unfiltered image, her kids are going to sleep with their mother.
Serena is winding down in bed with her daughters, letting the moment speak for itself. While she is not frequent about sharing her family updates, she does give her 18.1 million fans glimpses of her personal life alongside her practice, training, and, of course, her own candid moments.

The photo appeared on her Instagram story, which brings together Serena Williams and her two daughters, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. and Adira River Ohanian, in a calm, end-of-day setting. Serena rests on the left, looking into the camera with a soft smile. Adira sits in the middle, awake, holding a plush toy with a blue pacifier in place. On the other side, Olympia is already asleep.
The image reflects the matching satin bonnets in different shades, a gentle blue and purple glow lighting the room, and Serena in a pink polka-dot nightgown with lace trimming.
Since stepping away from tennis in 2022, Serena has spoken often about this shift. Motherhood, she says, has become her “favorite place to be.” This image quietly reinforces that idea without needing explanation.
Serena Williams embraces motherhood as her most meaningful chapter beyond tennis
Away from the court, Serena and Alexis Ohanian have built a life centered on their two daughters. Olympia arrived in September 2017, while Adira was born in August 2023, expanding a family that Serena now describes as her greatest source of joy.
In a 2024 interview, she put it plainly: "I can't say that a Wimbledon trophy holds a candle to volunteering at my kid's school." It is a striking line from someone whose career redefined dominance in tennis.
Her outlook has shifted over time. "I've been so focused on my career my whole life, but when I had a family and got married, I realized that there's so much more to life. And that was great,” she once shared, reflecting on how priorities evolve.
Still, she wants her daughters to see the full picture. "I also hope my daughters see how many different passions I have, from tennis to beauty, and learn that they can lead dynamic careers and lives across their many interests," she said. Serena is enjoying motherhood, and she is proud of it.
