Angel Reese, Natasha Cloud and other celebrities share love as Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns’ got engaged on Christmas

NBA stars Karl Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods are among the most popular celebrity couples in recent years. They have been in the press a lot, both for their individual achievements and for their friendship that grew into a well-known collaboration. Karl proposed on a rooftop in New York City on Christmas Eve, December 24, in front of her parents and sister.

The couple's engagement suspicions began in October 2024 when Jordyn was seen wearing a large gemstone. Meanwhile, once the photo was uploaded on Instagram by Woods, their celebrity friends showed excitement over it and flooded the comment section.

After five years of dating, Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns are engaged. On Thursday, December 25, Woods, 28, posted pictures of Towns, 30, kneeling on a balcony on Instagram.

“Marry Christmas….”

The NBA player Karl-Anthony Towns seemed to go above and beyond with the proposal, choosing the old Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte as the location and surprising Jordyn with a huge diamond. It looked like it belonged in a romance film. An environment worthy of royalty.




It made headlines back in November when Jordyn gave KAT a reconditioned version of his mother's old car for his 30th birthday. In addition to images and videos of Towns in the car, Woods wrote:

“During the summer, Karl asked me if I could drive any car for a day, which one would it be.. I answered, and his response was, ‘I wouldn’t pick anything crazy, I just really loved my mom’s car she had when I was a kid,’”

He continued:

“So I went on a mission these past months to find the car, shipped it across the country, got it fixed up, and was able to surprise him with it today for his 30th!”

On the other hand, it grabbed the attention of WNBA players like Angel Reese and Tasha Cloud. It also drew the comments from other celebs and influencers like Gabrielle Union Wade, Bella Hadid, Kylie Jenner and Olympian Simone Biles.

Angel Reese commented “ahhhh congrats boo”, while Natasha commented in emoji. Additionally, Biles wrote, “congrats bby.”

Their other celebrity friends also reacted in a similar manner. Gabrielle Union-Wade wrote, “Congratulations,” while Jenner commented excitedly, “jordyyyyyyy..” Moreover, Bella Hadid also showed excitement as she wrote, “OMG!!! Congrats sweet girl!!!!!!”

Some may see Kylie Jenner's remark as a friend congratulating their friend, but this moment is made even more memorable by their shared past. After ten years of friendship, the two had a difficult time in 2019 when Woods and Tristan Thompson got involved in a scandal when KUWTK was being filmed. At the time, Thompson was seeing Khloe Kardashian, Kylie's sister.

In an ESPN video, she and Woods, both 27, clutched hands and sprang up and down. Woods, who is dating Knicks player Karl-Anthony Towns, yelled with excitement beside Kylie while her sister Kendall Jenner watched from behind.
