He added that he will obtain some imaging. I only felt a sore hamstring, but it's too early to tell if I have any injuries.

The rumor began because of this post on X:

“BREAKING: The Los Angeles Lakers have fired JJ Redick. More details are expected to release..”

However, it was a fake post meant specifically to get engagement. In fact, the account that posted it has the word "satire" right in its description. It read:

“Non-affiliated with @raptors| Scottie Barnes Stan satire account..”





It might be challenging to choose which social media accounts to trust these days. But with this kind of news, it probably wouldn't have happened if Shams Charania of ESPN wasn't talking about it. Furthermore, Shams and the other insiders have not disclosed any such information. Of course it's not real.

Meanwhile, Redick has previously been the subject of criticism. The Los Angeles Lakers' postseason coaching debut under JJ Redick last year didn't go as expected. Fans were immediately irate with the first-year head coach after he witnessed his team lose to the Minnesota Timberwolves 117-95.
