The WNBA regular season has finally concluded, and eight teams from both conferences have managed to take their place in the postseason. Reigning champions - the New York Liberty - have managed the fifth spot, while the Minnesota Lynx from the Western Conference are at the top of the leaderboard before the Playoffs begin. The first round is set to begin on Sunday, September 14, and it will be a best-of-three series in the opening round.

The top eight seeds ahead of the WNBA 2025 Playoffs

With the conclusion of the regular season, the WNBA finally has its eight top seeds confirmed before the postseason begins. The Seattle Storm have managed to clinch a playoff berth, leaving the Los Angeles Sparks behind in their pursuit of a successful season. From the eight teams, three are from the Eastern Conference, while five have managed to make their place on the board from the Western Conference.

Which teams are set to face each other at the Playoffs?

The opening round will have a best-of-three series, where the top seeds face the bottom seeds, like the NBA format - 1v8; 2v7; 3v6, and 4v5.
The first game of the opening round is set for September 14, the next on September 17, and the third and final match on September 19.
