Super Bowl LX is just days away and with Bad Bunny taking home three awards at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, emotions are on the rise about his performance next Sunday.
While fans and players are looking forward to Bad Bunny’s performance, President Donald Trump has a very different opinion about the whole episode.
President Donald Trump has a controversial point of view about Bad Bunny performing in Super Bowl LX
A few days ago, President Donald Trump spoke to The New York Post about Bad Bunny and Green Day, and whether he will be making an appearance at the event like last time.
President Donald Trump said, “I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice.”
He added, “All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.”
President Donald Trump continued, “It’s just too far away. I would. I’ve (gotten) great hands (at) the Super Bowl. They like me.”
However, neither Bad Bunny nor Green Day has responded to President Donald Trump’s controversial comments about their performance in Super Bowl LX.
A few months ago, the popular Grammy winner Bad Bunny, issued a heartfelt statement about performing in Super Bowl LX as he said, “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself…”
The “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” artist added, “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown.”
Bad Bunny continued, “This is for my people, my culture and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el Halftime Show Del Super Bowl.”
The NFL has backed Bad Bunny despite President Donald Trump’s comments about him
While President Donald Trump’s controversial comments about Bad Bunny have sparked chaos, the NFL has stood their ground by having the popular artist perform in Super Bowl LX.
Back in October 2025, NFL chief marketing officer Tim Ellis said, “There’s a lot of people right now who don’t like Bad Bunny being in the Super Bowl halftime show…”
He added, “Well, not everyone has to like everything we do. Bad Bunny is f—ing awesome.”
Super Bowl LX is all set to be held on next Sunday, 8th February, as the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks gear up to face each other for the first time.
