Sherrone Moore’s legal battle takes a new turn in court amid alleged affair scandal with Paige Shiver

Sherrone Moore, the former coach of the University of Michigan’s football team, and his alleged affair with Paige Shiver had sparked shockwaves across the league.While the alleged affair became public, Sherrone Moore was also placed in police custody for breaking into his affair partner’s home and threatening her. It has been more than a month since it happened and now, there is a new twist to the case.As per reports, Sherrone Moore’s scheduled probable cause hearing has now been delayed to 19th March by Washtenaw County (Mich.) district court judge J. Cedric Simpson, after he made an appearance on Thursday alongside his wife and legal team.The reason for this is that the former coach’s legal team had put in a request to delay the hearing because of more evidence that the team wants to uncover, to prove his innocence.At this point in time, Sherrone Moore’s legal team is looking for additional phone records and documents to prove his innocence as he faces charges of third-degree home invasion, stalking and breaking and entering.According to reports, Sherrone Moore’s legal team said, “It’s our understanding that … there were statements made (earlier on Dec. 10) … by the complaining witness that are going to be important to (the defense’s case)”The legal team added, “Because her credibility will always be an issue and different statements she made to different people will need to be evaluated. So those statements are important…”However, neither Sherrone Moore nor his wife, has made any public statements related to his alleged affair with Paige Shiver or the serious charges that he is facing.Back on 10th December, Sherrone Moore was abruptly fired by the University of Michigan because of an inappropriate relationship he shared with a staff member.While University of Michigan did not release details about the affair or the identity of his affair partner, student and fans were quick to link it to Paige Shiver.Paige Shiver has completely stayed away from the drama even as Sherrone Moore was placed in police custody just hours after he was fired.
