Tom Brady is now the highest-paid voice in sports television. After walking away from football, Brady moved straight into broadcasting and landed a deal no one else has touched. His Fox Sports contract pays him more than any analyst in history. The size of the deal has shocked fans and media insiders, especially when compared to other famous names in sports and television. Brady’s move from the field to the booth began in 2024 in the United States, and it quickly changed the pay scale for everyone else on TV.

How Tom Brady changed sports TV pay with his Fox Sports deal

Tom Brady signed a 10-year contract with Fox Sports worth $375 million, according to multiple media reports confirmed in 2024. That breaks down to about $37.5 million per year. No broadcaster, sports or otherwise, earns more per season. The deal started when Brady officially retired after winning seven Super Bowls, six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fox executives have said Brady is more than a game analyst. He is a long-term face of their NFL coverage. Brady works weekly alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt.
His agent, Don Yee, has confirmed Brady plans to stay for the full 10 years.
Fox sees him as a brand-builder who brings trust, attention, and ad money. While Brady sits alone at the top, the next group of earners looks very different. Celebrity chefs are right behind him. Guy Fieri, Bobby Flay, and Gordon Ramsay each make close to $33 million per year through TV shows, production deals, and brand work.In sports media, Michael Strahan earns around $26 million annually. He splits his time between Fox NFL coverage and Good Morning America. Tony Romo, now CBS’s lead NFL analyst, makes just under Brady’s old playing salary at roughly the high $20 million range per year. One network executive told reporters in 2024, “Tom Brady reset the market.
