The International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) confirmed the news through an official statement, sending shockwaves across the lucha libre community just days before the October 30 event where Blue Demon Jr. was slated to compete for the IWRG Heavyweight Championship.

According to IWRG’s announcement on Facebook, Blue Demon Jr. suffered what they described as a “delicate car accident,” ruling him out of Thursday’s Casket Match at Castle of Terror 2025. The promotion also assured fans that an update on his replacement will be shared soon.“Blue Demon Jr. suffered a delicate car accident; therefore, he will not appear next Thursday, October 30 at the Castle of Terror 2025,” IWRG’s post read. “Stay tuned to our social networks since we will inform you who will take their place in the ‘casket match’ for the Heavyweight Championship.”The promotion closed its message with an outpouring of support: “We send the best of the vibes and speedy recovery to our legend.”
