Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Samsung Data Systems India Private Limited (Samsung SDS) to streamline cargo movement of Samsung products manufactured at its Noida facility through the upcoming Multi Modal Cargo Hub (MMCH) at Noida International Airport.
Spread across 87 acres, the MMCH will have an annual handling capacity of approximately 255,000 metric tonnes of cargo in its first phase at the Integrated Cargo Terminal. Its strategic proximity to Samsung’s manufacturing unit in Noida — one of the world’s largest mobile manufacturing clusters — will enable faster cargo throughput, reduced transit times, and improved access to export markets.
India’s electronics exports reached an all-time high of USD 47 billion in 2025, growing nearly 37% year-on-year.
Electronics are now the country’s third-largest export category, driven largely by mobile phone shipments worth over USD 15 billion in FY24. With India’s electronics production projected to hit USD 240 billion by 2030, partnerships like this are expected to play a crucial role in scaling operations and enhancing global competitiveness.
Ramanathan Rajamani, CEO of AISATS, said: “India’s role as a global manufacturing hub, particularly in electronics, requires logistics infrastructure that is agile, reliable, and at par with international standards.
Our partnership with Samsung SDS is a significant step in enabling high-value, time-sensitive cargo to move seamlessly through a globally benchmarked cargo ecosystem.”
Namjin Moon, vice president, Samsung SDS MEIA, added: “Our association with AISATS will enhance the speed and efficiency of our export supply chain. With the new Multi Modal Cargo Hub, the streamlined and systematic movement of cargo ensures greater reliability and agility. It’s a significant win for our global customers and a major leap forward for India’s export ambitions.”
The MMCH at Noida International Airport is designed as an integrated logistics zone, combining air cargo operations with multimodal connectivity. It includes a 30-acre Integrated Cargo Terminal (ICT) and a 57-acre Integrated Warehousing and Logistics Zone (IWLZ). The facility will cater to multiple sectors including pharmaceuticals, electronics, engineering goods, and e-commerce, working with leading freight forwarders and major airlines.
