​Amazon Fire TV Stick HD launched in India: Price, features and more

Amazon has announced the launch of the Fire TV Stick HD in India, its slimmest and fastest HD streaming stick yet. The new device delivers over 30% faster performance compared to the previous generation, supports Wi-Fi 6 and HDR10+, and introduces a redesigned Fire TV interface for smoother navigation. With this launch, Amazon aims to offer Indian customers a more portable, clutter-free streaming experience.

Price and availability

The Fire TV Stick HD is priced at ₹4,999. Customers can purchase it on Amazon.in, Blinkit, Flipkart, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto, with retail store availability coming soon.

Amazon Fire TV Stick HD features

The new Fire TV Stick HD offers a significant performance boost, with apps loading faster and streaming smoother at 1080p full HD. It is 30% slimmer than other Fire TV sticks and can be powered directly through a TV’s USB port, eliminating the need for a wall adapter. The redesigned Fire TV interface organizes content into dedicated categories for movies, TV shows, free, and live programming, helping users spend less time searching. Integrated smart home controls allow easy management of Alexa-compatible devices like ACs, fans, and lights.


Entertainment options are extensive, with access to lakhs of movies and shows across apps such as Prime Video, Netflix, JioHotstar, YouTube, and Zee5, along with free/ad-supported live content including sports and news. For the first time, Fire TV HD devices also support Xbox cloud gaming, enabling users to play hundreds of games without a console by pairing the stick with a Bluetooth-enabled controller and an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
