The teaser of 'Adhira' dropped on Wednesday, March 23. The superhero film is directed by Prasanth Varma, who shot to his fame after the films 'Awe,' 'Kalki' and 'Zombie Reddy,' and stars debutant Kalyan Dasari in the lead role. He is the son of RRR producer DVV Danayya.

It is known that Telugu director Prashanth Varma's next theatrical outing 'Hanu-Man' teaser was released yesterday and it is trending on various social media platforms since then. Prashanth reunited with his friend and actor Teja Sajja for the second time, earlier they two worked on ‘Zombie Reddy’.

If there is any director in Tollywood who makes unique films from others and with no connection from one film to the other it is the writer and director Prashanth Varma. Prashanth Varma is best known for directing new films of its kind Awe (2018) and Zombie Reddy (2021) in Tollywood.The talented filmmaker has recently released a world-class teaser from his film ‘Hanuman’ starring Teja Sajja in the lead role. Touted to be a superhero film, the film will tell the story of Hanumanthu set in the fictional village called Anjanadri. Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar, Raj Deepak Shetty, Vinay Rai and others play other important roles in the film. That is said to be a part of PV’s cinematic Universe (PVCU). The film will be followed by ‘Adhira’ with 'RRR' producer DVV Danayya’s son.

Rishab Shetty, while gearing up for his role as Lord Hanuman in 'Jai Hanuman', has also begun filming for 'Kantara: Chapter 1'. The prequel to the 2022 blockbuster has already completed half of its filming, with the remaining scenes currently being shot.

Following 'HanuMan's success, director Prasanth Varma is expanding his cinematic universe. 'Jai Hanuman,' starring Rishab Shetty as Lord Hanuman, is set for a grand launch in Hampi on February 22, 2026, with shooting commencing in April. Rana Daggubati also features, and Teja Sajja may appear. Other PVCU projects are also in development.

Director Prasanth Varma is set to build the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU) inspired by Indian superheroes with its first instalment 'Hanu-Man' releasing in 2023, and 'Adhira' releasing next year. PVCU aims to tell stories from Indian heritage and culture with Indian actors playing the roles. Prasanth's vision is not only to bring like-minded individuals together but also to build a community that allows these people to share their stories.
