Thus, it doesn't come as a shocker when small screen actors follow suit. Some were superstitious, some believed in numerology, while some changed their names just to feel sexier! Gauahar Khan from Gauhar Khan

Gauahar Khan, winner of Bigg Boss season 7, rose to fame with her stint in the reality show. Before entering the Bigg Boss house, the actress changed the spelling of her name with a belief that doing so would change her fate in the show and lead her to victory. The name indeed proved to be a game-changer for the actress who has been bagging several assignments since winning the show. Gauhar Khan added an additional 'a' in her name and entered the house as Gauahar Khan. Well! lady it sure proved lucky for you!

Swwapnil Joshi from Swapnil Joshi

Looking at Swwapnil Joshi's career charts post his name change, it would be safe to claim that numerology is indeed a science worth believing in. Swwapnil became a popular name in the Marathi film industry after his back-to-back hit films like Duniyadaari, Mumbai Pune Mumbai and his latest film Pyaarwali Love Story. Apparently, the actress felt the need to change her name to Anita as she thought it was much more common and hence had more chances of becoming popular. Vahbiz Dorabjee from Vahbbiz Dorabjee
