I'm excited about Benebou's rerun: Actor Raja Ghosh
Popular Bengali television serial ‘Benebou’ is set to make a comeback on television. It will have a rerun on a popular Bengali TV channel from December 7. The news has left the cast of the show excited and nostalgic at the same time.
Actor Raja Ghosh, who essayed the male lead in the Chandni Saha and Tonni Laha Roy starrer ‘Benebou’, simply can’t wait to watch his show once again on television. “Benebou was launched in 2016 and was quite a hit back then. I played Ved’s character in the show. The feedback was overwhelming. I can’t imagine that the show will have a rerun. I am really excited about it,” says the actor.
‘Benebou’ was produced by Snehasish Chakraborty. According to its storyline, Ved is a rich and handsome guy who holds a management degree. He is supposed to get married to Palok (played by Tonni). Young and bubbly Palok aspires to be a model. She is ambitious and knows how to make her way. But destiny had its own story to tell. Ved gets married to innocent village belle Shapla (played by Chandni).
Initially, Ved’s family doesn’t accept Shapla but she eventually wins hearts with her love and honesty.
Raja shared how much he enjoyed playing Ved’s character in ‘Benebou’. “The project is very close to my heart. I hope that the viewers would shower their love and support just like they did earlier,” he adds.
On the career front, Raja is quite a busy bee. The actor was earlier seen playing the male lead in ‘Kanak Kakon’, which starred Sweta Bhattacharya and Shrabani Bhunia as reel sisters. He is currently busy with ‘Jamuna Dhaki’ which again stars Sweta, Chandni along with Rubel Das.
