‘Anupamaa’ February 2 written update: Rajni’s truth comes out, chawl members apologize to Anupama

The episode starts with Motiba confronting Parag about his relationship with Prem. She calls him out and tells him that he has ruined his relationship with his son, and that he should do everything in his power to mend it. Meanwhile, Rajni talks to the chawl residents and apologizes to them about Anupama's disappearance. She promises them that she will do everything in her power to help them find her and ensure that she returns safely.

The chawl residents scare Rajni

As Rajni promises to find Anupama no matter what, the residents of the chawl comment about how they do not believe her. Many also call her out and say that Anupama had vowed to take revenge on her before she died. This causes Rajni to feel scared as she all of a sudden hallucinates Anupama asking her why she killed her. She blinks multiple times, however, and then realises that it was all hr imagination.

Anupama comes back

As they all talk about the matter, Anupama suddenly arrives in front of Rajni and asks her to touch her. Rajni realizes that Anupama is, in fact, alive and well. She cannot believe herself as Varun had earlier mentioned that Anupama had passed away, and that he had made sure of it.

Varun and Prerna turn against Rajni

Rajni blurts out all of the truth that had happened out of fear. Her own children turn against her, telling her that she was never a good mother to them. A flashback plays showing how Anupama managed to convince all of the chawl members to be a part of her plan. She then plays a video showing Rajni confessing to all of her crimes openly. Rajni starts pleading for forgiveness and asks for a second chance.

Anupama then turns to the chawl residents, telling them that she fulfilled the promise that she had made to them. All of the residents start apologizing to her for misunderstanding her. They thank her for going through everythingin order to save all of their homes, even when Anupama had no one standing next to her.

The episode ends with Prerna and Varun telling Anupama that she should be the one to decide what kind of punishment Rajni should get for her actions. Rajni gets terrified listening to this and returns to pleading to Anupama for mercy. The chawl members also start requesting Anupama to come back and live in her home at the chawl.
