Bigg Boss 12: Why this season wasn't a firecracker?

The finale of Bigg Boss 12 is round the corner. While it's about to end, the season did not manage to thrill the audience as much as its previous ones and there's a sense of disappointment among the viewers. Here's why we think Bigg Boss 12 failed to impress... (Photo: Twitter)

2/7

Lack of star power

The house of Bigg Boss 12 has a mix of celebrity and commoner contestants. But the difference is that the actors this time aren't as popular as the ones in the previous season. Hina Khan, Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta, who appeared in season 11, are big names in the industry and made news when they participated in the reality series. Dipika Kakar, Karanvir Bohra and Sreesanth fade in comparison. They could not pull the season on their own shoulders as they lack stardom.

3/7

Fake fights

The contestants constantly teased each other for fighting unnecessarily to gain footage. Their spats were only meant to grab eyeballs and triggered by petty reasons. In fact, in one of the recent episodes, Karanvir shared with Deepak how Sreesanth and Surbhi are the most fake ones in the house as they are unlike their real selves and yell only for gaining attention.

4/7

No love angle

It was a major miss this year. Even though Rohit had feelings for Srishty and Deepak for Somi, their affection wasn't reciprocated by the girls. Intimate scenes and private conversations were missing this season, which otherwise help in keeping the viewers hooked. The past seasons saw Puneesh Sharma-Bandgi Kalra, Ali Merchant-Sara Khan, Veena Malik-Ashmit Patel and Raja Chaudhary-Sambhavana Seth raising the heat in the house.

5/7

Contestants with no controversial past

Again the contestants this time aren't controversial at all. The previous seasons had Rakhi Sawant, Swami Om, Arshi Khan, Raja Chaudhary and others who sparked fights and talked about their lives on the show, which the viewers were interested to know more about. They entertained everyone with their antics. However, no one could match them this time. (Photo: Twitter)

6/7

Less enthusiasm in tasks

Contestants did not do a great job when it came to the tasks that were assigned to them by Bigg Boss. They were less enthusiastic, and their manoeuvres were also not strong. There was no mastermind like Vikas Gupta, who knew how to manipulate the game in his favour. (Photo: Twitter)

7/7

Time slot

One major reason for the show to have failed this time is the time slot. The content was kept clean for the family audiences, who watch the show at 9 pm. The previous few seasons were aired later at night, and had more uncensored and interesting content. (Photo: Twitter)

Caz- Salman Khan- who shamelessly divided the contestants between so-called celebrities'' and ''commoners'' and these ''commoners'' were terrified when Salman Khan openly condemn them for simple matters and did not talk about any mis-behavior of those ''celebrities'' . Salman khan does not have his own words other than his ''scripted writings''. A show cannot be popular based on ''scripted'' hosting. Should look at Big B''s ''Kaun Banega.. how he host a show and make it most popular TV show to all levels.
