Ektaa Kapoor and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary react after Naagin 7 VFX error exposes unedited blue screen in latest episode

Naagin 7, starring Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Namik Paul, and Kanika Mann, grabbed attention after an unedited VFX scene was accidentally aired in a recent episode. The unedited VFX scene sparked criticism as well as hilarious reaction from the viewers. Now, producer Ektaa Kapoor and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary have reacted to the editing blunder.

A viewer shared a meme highlighting the editing error, using a scene from the show where a Naagin transforms into a dragon and breathes fire. The caption read, “Ekta Ma’am on her way to the office from Thailand after yesterday’s Naagin blue screen mistake by the editors.” Ekta Kapoor reposted the meme on her Instagram Stories and joked, "Eggjacctlyyy (Exactly).”

Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who plays a icchadhari Naagin in the show, also reacted to the editing goof-up. While interaction with the paparazzi, when the actress was quizzed about the editing slip, she said, "Accha humne bhi dekha oh aapne bhi dekha wow...(laughs). Human error hai...Ab dekho kya he keh sakte hain, iss cheez par kaam kiya jaa raha hai taaki future mein aisi galti na ho.Guys human error hai, hojaata hai kabhi kabhi."

For the uninitiated, during episode 38, titled “Radhika’s Deadly Betrayal,” a shocking VFX error made its way to the final broadcast which left the viewers shocked.

In one important scene, the raw footage was shown instead of the final edited version. The blue screen, safety wires, and other behind-the-scenes elements—usually hidden by VFX—were clearly visible. Instead of creating suspense, the scene ended up revealing how it was filmed.

Fans flooded platforms like X and Instagram with their reactions. One user wrote, “Is this the final episode or a rehearsal clip? How did they even air this?” Another commented, “They forgot to remove the blue screen, this is next-level carelessness.” A third user joked, “At this point, the VFX team deserves a plot twist of their own!”

Several others joined in with sharper takes. “This looks like a VFX tutorial gone wrong,” one user joked, while another wrote, “We waited for a big twist and got a behind-the-scenes leak instead.” A fan sarcastically said, “Budget went into promotions, not post-production.” Another comment read, “Even school projects have cleaner editing than this.”

Naagin 7 is all set to come to an end. Recently, producer Ekta Kapoor herself confirmed that the show will be bidding adieu to the fans. The TV czarina shared an Instagram video where she mentioned how the show was initially expected to have only 30 episodes, but due to the channel’s request, it now has over 48 episodes.
