Exclusive - Surbhi Chandna shares her thoughts as 'Ishqbaaaz' clocks 10 Years; says 'It was never just a show, it was a journey that changed my life'
As Ishqbaaaz clocks 10 years, Surbhi Chandna opens up about the emotional milestone of the popular show that changed her life, and the love and memories that are yet to fade even after a decade of the iconic serial.
Speaking about the same, Surbhi added, "Yesterday was a special day as Ishqbaaaz completed 10 magical years. I don't even know how to express my feelings in words because it doesn't seem like 10 years have passed since then. I am overwhelmed with emotions. For me, it was never just a show, it was a journey that changed my life. The love has not stopped coming from fans even today. It's an overwhelming feeling and makes me happy."
She further adds, "It was a great experience and I met so many amazing people there. There are so many funny moments that I will cherish my entire life. We used to have lunch together on the sets. We would eat Rajma Chawal, Bhindi, and experimented a lot with thai curry, and there were so many things we used to discuss. Nakuul Mehta, Nehalaxmi Iyer and the whole team. I feel so lucky to have shared such beautiful times with my co-stars. The journey is still the best part of my life. My cast is my family."
Recalling the memories of shooting, Ishaqbaaaz, she says, "When I look back at this journey, I feel really happy for my co-actors. We share great chemistry and have become very close friends. They mean a lot to me. From fun banter to emotional scenes, I cherish all those moments—we’ve made so many beautiful memories together. More than this, I feel the love I received from the fans is still alive. They are with me even after 10 years, even their posts and videos reveal how much they have loved Ishqbaaaz. I am really grateful for that because their love is a major part of my life."
Emotionally she adds, "It is a moment of celebration yet also a little bit sad to think about Daadi, Navnindra Behl. She was a very lovely soul and I can never forget all the amazing days we spent together."
Surbhi concludes, "I feel like I was living a dream. Ishqbaaaz is going to be forever in my heart. Cheers to the memories, to the mad times we had and for Ishqbaaaz that'll always be timeless."
