Shalini Passi became an overnight sensation after her appearance in Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives. Now, Shalini is set to make an entry in Bigg Boss 18 to add yet another dose of drama. Shalini Passi is a design collector, art patron, and fashion icon located in Delhi. Born in Delhi in 1976, she married businessman Sanjay Passi in the late 1990s. They live in a massive 20,000-square-foot property near Delhi's Golf Links, which has 14 rooms. Shalini, a fitness enthusiast, was a state-level gymnast growing up before transitioning to jogging in her 40s. The couple has a son named Robin, who lives with them.

Shalini, a philanthropist, has been a familiar face in the national capital's social circles for more than two decades. She has been a member of the Khoj Advisory Board for more than a decade and is the patron of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, an international art exhibition annually in Kochi. Since 2010, she has been working to educate disadvantaged youngsters in Delhi. She arranges seminars to teach children about arts and crafts.

Shalini's husband, Sanjay Passi, is the chairman of Pasco Group, which has been described as 'a leading name in Tata Motors-certified dealerships in North India'. Although Sanjay's net worth is unknown, the Pasco Group has a revenue of ₹2690 crore, according to the Economic Times. In 2021, Sanjay made headlines with donating ₹10 crore to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. Sanjay received the Aaykar Ratna Award in 1999 for being the highest taxpayer in the country.

She is a thalassemic minor who also suffers from anemia. She eats mostly fresh fruits and vegetables and does not take iron supplements. She avoids sugar, carbohydrates, and caffeine and eats home-cooked meals by 6.30 p.m. before heading out to meet friends, apart from when she hosts at home or in a hotel, Passi is rarely seen on the social circuit.

Passi led a sheltered childhood. Her grandpa immigrated from Pakistan and established himself in the building industry. As an Arya Samaji, he believed that playing cards was tantamount to gambling. In a podcast, Shalini said, "I never learnt how to play cards. My mom and sister are amazing at it. But I was brought up by my grandparents mostly, hence the discipline. My grandfather built the Vayu Bhavan, the Doordarshan building and Palika Bazar among other landmarks."

Talking about her schooling, Shalini shared, "I went to Modern School Barakhamba, then Jesus and Mary College. We lived in Greater Kailash before moving to Jor Bagh. My uncle was an architect. Growing up with blueprints, materials, textures and visiting sites with my father and grandfather, I wanted to be one too. But I was poor in math, so I turned to art and design."
