From Bhumika Chawla saying she wasn't invited to Taarak's Shailesh Lodha calling TKSS 'gross' comedy: When celebs slammed Kapil Sharma and his show

Kapil Sharma is a popular name in showbiz. The comedian, who has created a name for himself with The Kapil Sharma Show, invites several people from all walks of life on his show. While he enjoys a great fan following across the globe, there are some celebs who have slammed the comedian and his show for several reasons. Here's taking a look at times when serious allegations were made against Kapil and his show.

Bhumika Chawla is the latest celeb to have slammed the show for not inviting her while the rest of the cast was there. She told Siddharth Kannan, "I had no idea when it was shot. But they must have had some strategy. I felt bad for one second then I thought Venkatesh sir wasn’t there. We are a couple in the film. I did my calculation. Despite being invited in a rapper special, Raftaar wasn't too pleased with Kapil's show. In a live chat on a YouTuber Dank Rishu's channel, he said, "Basically, kya hota hai, dekh humne kaam kar liya, wahan jaakar yeh dikhana hota hai ke hum bahut bade hai (Basically what happens is this, we do the work, but when we go there, we have to show that we are big people)." He further added, "Shoshe baazi hai, junta ke saamne izzat ban jaati hai, bahut bade lagte hai, ghar pe jab maa baap dekhte hai, woh kehte hai ‘Woh The Kapil Sharma Show pe aaya tha,’ gali-kooche mein hawa ban jaati hai warna uska real-world value kuch nahi hai (It’s all show-off. It helps build a reputation in front of the public, you look big, even when parents watch it, they feel proud that you’ve appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show. People start to talk about it though that person has no real value otherwise)."

Saurav Gurjar, who is WWE superstar and performs on NXT under the ring name Sanga, expressed his displeasure with Kapil Sharma and his team for creating fake comments under his post featuring Ranbir Kapoor on Instagram. This happened when Ranbir had appeared with co-stars, Shraddha Kapoor and Anubhav Singh Bassi on TKSS. For his Post Ka Postmortem segment, Kapil took Saurav's pic with Ranbir and read out comments that Saurav claimed were never there on his account. Seeing this, Saurav tweeted, "आप अच्छे इंसान है @KapilSharmaK9 लोगो को हॅसाते हैं लेकिन आप और आपकी टीम यें झूठें कमेंट कैसे दिखा सकते हैं किसी की सोशल मीडिया पर। This is not acceptable�� जय हिंद���� #TheKapilSharmaShow (You are a good human being, Kapil Sharma. You make people laugh but how could you and your team show fake comments on someone's social media. This is not acceptable)."

Shailesh Lodha sparked controversy when he appeared on TKSS last year. This made netizens share an old video where he had once slammed the show for its 'gross' comedy. In the video, Shailesh had said, "Main kuch karyakram dekhta hun toh mujhe sharam aati hai. Ek aisi dadi jo har vyakti ko choomna chahti hai, ek aisi bua jo shaadi ke liye betaab hai, ek pati jo apni patni ko prataadit karta hai. Main uss karyakram mein kaam karta hu jismein ek beta haar baat pe apne baap ke paon chuta hai (I feel ashamed to watch some shows where the grandmother wants to kiss everyone, a bua is shown to be desperate to get married and the wife is harrassed by the husband. Instead I work in a show where the son touches his father's feet for everything)." However, later, Shailesh tried to defend his statement on Siddharth Kannan's chat show on YT.

Mukesh Khanna decided to not grace the episode in which the entire cast of Mahabharat was invited in the year 2020. The actor took to his social media account and revealed why he refused to go to the show despite being invited. Mukesh called TKSS 'vulgar'. The actor said that the team cracked double meaning jokes and the artists dress up like women despite being men. He mocked those who laugh at the 'nonsensical' jokes. He shared that Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu's (who was part of the show earlier) laughter has always been fake and forceful.

It was in 2017 that Ajay Devgn chose to leave the shoot of The Kapil Sharma Show when Kapil failed to arrive on set. This left Ajay Devgn and his co-stars from the film Baadshaho waiting for him for a long time. Reportedly, Ajay then walked out of the sets. He later clarified that he wasn't upset with Kapil as he was struggling with health issues. But he did confirm that he left the show due to the comedian's absence on set.
