From undergoing seven painful IVF procedures to a pregnancy photoshoot before her miscarriage, Sambhavna Seth opens up about her difficult IVF journey

Sambhavna Seth, who is popular for his chartbuster songs, journey in Bigg Boss season 3, recently appeared on Hauterrfly for an interview. During the conversation, the actress opened up about the struggles she has faced during her journey, her difficult IVF journey, and more. Agar ye social media pehle aagaya hota na, maine aag laga di hoti. Mujhe bahot kaam mil gaya hota. I lost a lot of work because I had no contacts and did not know where to go or whom to contact. Ek hota hai na jab ke ab kuch nahi hosakta then I used to dance. I did not promote vulgarity in songs, I was doing my job of dancing because I was getting paid for it. When I realised and understood the lyrics of the songs I did, it was too late. I was too popular, toh kahan se nikloge. In our song "Kamariya ka Jhatka," we tried our best to avoid vulgarity. Honestly, I was going through immense pain in my leg. I was sitting at home and Avinash motivated me to do something and asked, "Let's produce a song." It was my first song where we had no vulgarity. While growing up I used to consider myself not very good looking. I had an inferiority complex and to overcome it, I used to overdress. Dance wise I was confident but when it came to looks, I was under confident. I used to win many trophies in dancing in school and colleges, but my mother was against it. My father was very proud, but my brothers used to kick and throw my trophies away. They never motivated me. I fought with my own people more than with outsiders. (Photo: Instagram)

There was a time when Avinash was not doing anything, and I had work. Now, Avinash is busy but I don’t have many offers, so I keep myself busy. For me it is work, but a lot of people comment, “Arre Kar he kya Rahi hai..” Apart from YouTube, vlogs, I take out time to shoot reels. I dedicate my time for my dance reels. I’ll share a very recent incident involving the paps. Avinash and I went to an award function and while we were posing on the red carpet. There are times in the month when you are bloated for reasons. My face was swollen, and I was on my periods and looked heavy. I went to the event for Avinash and the video was posted by paps. Do you know what comment they made? Mujhe mil jaaye na main thappad lag dungi. “Tu saa*e paps hai aur tu baith ke bol raha hai ye iska beta hai.” I was in lot of pain, with my face swollen. I have gone through miscarriages and then I’ve reached here. I have had miscarriages, I’ve attempted 7 IVFs in all these years. Even before we got married I had done IVF and got my eggs freezed. It cost me around Rs 1. 5 lakh. I was foresighted so I had planned. But you know Bhagwan ke marzi ke aage kuch nahi chalta. It was a healthy extraction. (Photo: Instagram)

The process was very painful and I had put on a lot of weight. The process goes on for 8-10 days and you have to take injections in your stomach or thighs. Then the final injection is given 24 hours before extracting the eggs. That’s the whole process and it is very painful. Then the doctors advise you to take rest for 10 days and due to hormonal injections you gain weight. The body goes through a lot of trauma, mental state bhi kharab hojaati hai. Sambhavna shared, “Salman Khan appreciated my performance on the stage of Bigg Boss Season 4. He said he would give me a job too. But later on, things became a nightmare.” She further revealed that she was later called again on stage by the organizers and asked to behave in the same way that she used to during her days in Bigg Boss. Recalling the incident, Sambhavna explained, "I went to meet him after the show was over, and he was irritated." Although Salman was "very nice to talk to," according to Sambhavna, the difference was huge. When she reminded him of the movie opportunity, Salman allegedly replied, "I don't know, you have to lose some weight, and besides, I don't promote people."

I could become hopeful after every setback because I did not have any pressure from my husband. I was the one who wanted the baby, Avinash was fine with not having our child. He did not want to see me in pain. He always told me, "I’m standing by you and it’s fine if we don’t want a baby." This was the thing that kept me pushing. It was a proper three months scan and we were going to announce it with a proper photo shoot. We did a photo shoot and were very happy. We had bought some clothes like baby socks, we have it in this house as well. We didn’t know if it would be a boy or a girl but we had bought a few things. We spent a lot of money but it is still fine for us, just imagine people who can't afford it. I have only one regret: the adoption process in the country is very strict. We tried everything possible, but you must wait four years, tab jaake aapka number aayega. I don't know what the future holds for me, but I am happy and not sad at all. (Photo: Instagram)

I have a major arthritis problem, so when it flared up, veins in my leg were damaged. But I believe that you should enjoy life and not complain about the problems. It took me 1 year to lose weight, dropping from 85 to 63 kilos. I used to not fit any of my clothes. (Photo: Instagram)
