TV celebs share about their favourite ice-creams

July 18th is celebrated as Ice-Cream Day and tellyland is filled with ice cream lovers. On this day we decided to reach out to actors to know their favourite flavours and interesting stories associated with their comfort food.

Sara Khan- I once had ice-cream in the freezing winter in Manali

The Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein actress shares, “I rarely cheat on my diet, but when I do, it has to be for a dash of vanilla ice-cream. As simple as the flavour seems, it blends so well with many other additions, be it a chocolate spread, sprinkles or fresh-cut fruits. I remember this one time I was on a vacation in Manali and it was snowing. We were trekking and on the way, we stopped to grab a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. People were astounded to see me eat spoon after spoon in the chilly weather. I could survive on tubs of vanilla ice cream alone.”

Bhumika Gurung: My tooth removals have been treated with ice-cream always

The Nimki Mukhiya actress shares, “I love ice-cream. My fridge is always stocked up with them. If you ask me about my favourite flavour then I’m a sucker for mango fruit flavour, so that’s one. Also tender coconut, fig fruit ice-cream and roasted almond definitely works like a stress buster for me. Every time I’ve got a tooth removal (wisdom) I’ve had a bucket of ice cream.”

Kartikey Malviya: Once Sourabh Raaj Jain melted my ice-cream on the sets

The Chandragupta Maurya actor says, “In one of my shows we had a rule that whosoever’s phone rings in the middle of the shoot, that person will have to treat the entire set with ice-cream. I was once craving for matka kulfi and luckily Sourabh Raaj Jain’s phone rang and I told everyone. Just because I told everyone about Sourabh sir’s phone, he also pulled my leg by taking retakes after retakes so that my ice-cream melts (laughs). My matka kulfi became rabdi!"

5/9

Mrunal Jain: I have a habit of melting my ice-cream and eating

The Bandhan actor shares, “I love ice-cream. Infact I also have vanilla and chocolate ice-cream shakes at least twice a week made by my wife Sweety. Ice creams make me happy and lift my mood. One should control the portion but and shouldn't quit eating it. I like my ice-cream a little melted and not very frozen.”

Sharad Malhotra: Ice-cream lifts my mood in seconds

The Naagin 5 actor shares, “Even though I am always on a strict diet and I rarely have cheat days, yet there are those days when nothing in the world seems to go in my direction... that's when I move towards ice cream’s direction. Ice-cream is that one thing in this entire world which can lift my mood in seconds. If I talk about my favourite flavours then they are butterscotch and cookies and cream.”

7/9

Puneett Chouksey: I used to love Mississippi mud ice-cream

The Naati Pinky Ki Lambi Love Story actor shares, “I am a big foodie but I have to follow a diet according to my fitness routine but when it comes to ice-creams, I love to have matka kulfi, the desi version of ice-cream. It works as stress buster and earlier it used to be a midnight dessert for me. I used to love Mississippi mud ice cream but one day that ice cream parlour shut, so my friends and I saw a kulfiwala on the street. That day I tried matka kulfi and since then it's my favourite.”

8/9

Shikha Singh Shah: My daughter and I are sharing our ice-creams these days

The Kumkum Bhagya actress shares, “My regular treat is a chocolate bar ice-cream. But the best I have ever had is under London Eye in London and I remember having so many of those. It was super yummy and the weather was also just perfect to enjoy it. During my pregnancy, I didn’t have much ice-cream because I wanted to eat other stuff. But these days because of sleeplessness, sometimes I end up eating it post lunch and my daughter Alayna also ends up eating the vanilla portion. She loves it.”

9/9

Sara Arfeen Khan: I loved eating ice-creams in London

The Siya Ke Ram actress shares, “I’m not a big fan of ice-creams but I remember in London I used to go to Leicester square Ben & Jerry’s cafe and indulge in cookie dough flavour. And I don’t know why but I used to crave this ice-cream when it rained in London. Recently, I had collaborated with an ice cream brand and once again it was raining and I ate 3 ice creams back to back to get a decent shot as it kept melting and dripping all over my clothes which were already getting drenched in the rains. I think for me, ice-cream and rain have some kind of long term connect.”
