Amitabh Bachchan Breaks Silence on His ‘Changed’ Look in KBC 17 | Here’s What He Says
Mr Bachchan begins the game and after answering questions swiftly, Meenal crosses the Rs 25,000 mark. The makers of KBC play a small video on Meenal's life which shows her love for art. From playing harmonium, dancing, painting to photography, Meenal has mastered all departments.
Meenal further reveals how her father has been trying to be on the show for 25 years and today she is living his dream. Big B recites his father's poem and says, "Mashhoor hone ka shauk nahi hai humein aapne pehchaan aap mujhe pehchaante ho, bus itna he kaafi hai..."
Meenal faces a question for Rs 2,00,000. Sandals inspired by which traditional Indian footwear featured in Prada's Men's Spring/Summer 2026 show? The contestant correctly answers Option C) Kolhapuri. Big B recites a dialogue from his films and says, "Phir ek hero aaya usne chappal dikha ke bola chappal ka number pata hai 9 number hai."
Next, host Amitabh Bachchan during a conversation with Meenal informed her that even he did his schooling from Nanital. Meenal shared with Big B that she studied at All Saints for 2 years and Big B was stunned hearing this. He asked her thrice 'you studied at All Saints" leaving everyone in splits of laughter. He says, "Bahot saari yaadein taaza hogayi, batayenge toh maar padegi ghar jaakar."
The megastar took a trip down the memory lane reliving his carefree teen days as a student in the Sherwood Boys' School, Nanital. He shares, "All Saints was our sister school and every Sunday students from both Sherwood and All Saint's used to gather at the Chapel. Wohi ek din hota tha jab hum logon ka coat, blazer, badhiya baal banakar hum parade mein khade rehte the. Kyunki pata hota tha All Saints se mahilayein aane waali hain. (it was the only day when the boys from his school used to get all decked up and look extremely presentable for the parade)."
He recalled, "Pata hai jawani ka ek alhadpan hota hai, Back then in church, the girls’ seats were always in the front rows, and the boys sat behind them. Whenever someone wanted to pass a message, the chance came when everyone had to kneel down and pray — from above, no one could see what was happening below. The boys sitting in the first row behind the girls were the most eager for that spot. Because the moment ‘let us pray’ was announced, they would secretly slip a note under while kneeling. What childishness it was, but those were truly the best days of my life, the happiest days."
For the question of Rs 3,00,000, Meenal uses 'Audience Poll' lifeline. During a match against England in 2025, who became only the second Indian player to appear in 150 women's T20Is? Meenal selects Option D) Smriti Mandhana and it is the correct answer.
Next Big B reads the question for Rs 5,00,000 and takes help from 'Sanket Suchak' lifeline as she is not sure of the answer. In July 2025, which state launched a pioneering 'mining tourism' initiative? She selects Option A) Jharkhand.
