Real-life television jodis who tied the knot in reality

Whether you like family dramas or wish to have a good laugh at the end of a bad day, Indian television has given us some memorable love stories across genres. From Raman Bhalla and Ishita Iyer’s slow burn romance in ‘Yeh Hain Mohabbatein’ to Sahil Sarabhai and Monisha's hilarious affair, there was and still is a love story for all. But some love stories began when the cameras stopped rolling. We’re talking about onscreen actors whose chemistry transcended beyond the script and eventually led them to say ‘I do’ to one another in real life.
Here are a few names.

Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya

Divyanka and Vivek’s relationship is testimony to the fact that arranged matches can be beautiful too. It all began when a mutual friend of theirs tipped off Vivek and Divyanka about each other while they were filming for ‘Yeh hain Mohabbatein’ in 2016. While they eventually discussed work, slowly they realised they were compatible and decided to take the plunge in 2016.

In 2006, the two eloped and got married and only announced their marriage in 2011 once their careers were established. Despite facing troubles with conception, today the duo are proud parents to two girls. Lianna and Divisha.

Gauri Pradhan and Hiten Tejwani

One of telly world’s most popular couples, Hiten and Gauri initially met on the sets of a commercial. As the saying goes, “The way to a person’s heart is through food”, the duo bonded over some well cooked meals which later kindled their romance. Since 2004, the couple have been happily married and are parents to twins Nevaan and Katya.
