Roadies 19: Splitsvilla fame Bhoomika Vasishth recalls her private ‘stripping’ videos getting leaked online; shares ‘I am ashamed, I did it for money’

Bhoomika Vasishth, who was seen in Splitsvilla 13, made some shocking revelations about her life post the reality show. She was seen in an unrecognisable look, which she stated, “Has nothing to do with what I went through but I feel more confident in this look.” Bhoomika shared her survival story of coming out of a dark phase in her life and looking forward to inspire women, who feel are stuck in a situation she went through.

I belong to an orthodox, strict family. They do not believe in the showbiz industry but I have been a rebel. In Splitsvilla, it was a beautiful journey for me. But after that show, I went into a dark phase in my life. It was really bad.

I fell into a dark hole and really struggled a lot to get out of it. Today I am standing here as a Community Manager, Creator-preneur, Entrepreneur and I love read, writing and getting inked.

I did some videos – not intentionally. There’s a video of me kissing another girl, there is a video of me stripping and I did those in desire of the limelight. I took a loan after Splitsvilla and was loving the limelight and the money. But those videos were out there. So those videos were meant to be private and exclusive but someone leaked those videos.

It was an app and I did it for money. But I didn’t realise it because it was meant to be exclusive. I am really sorry about this because I had to face my parents, police and face myself. I was taking everything very lightly and had none in the industry to guide me how to carry myself. I was only running after money. I lost myself and stopped loving myself. I fought hard to get out of it. It is very important to believe in yourself. I want to make a comeback like Rhea ma’am.

Bhoomika spoke about why she didn’t take any action against them on social media and used it as a tool, “I took action against the person, who leaked but nothing happened. It is a big network and many people are involved. Nobody took strict action. I felt ashamed to expose them on social media.” Rhea supported her and said, “When things like these happen, you feel lucky that you are able to breathe.” The Roadies gang leaders promised to back her up if she ever wishes to expose them on social media.

I couldn’t tell my parents. My relatives were hounding them. What could I have told my parents? ‘Main yeh sab karti thi?’ I told them to ignore all of it. I am sorry that I had to lie to them because their daughter did this. I hope they haven’t seen those videos. I don’t know, I haven’t asked. Things went sour but now I am on good terms. I speak to my mom everyday and seek her blessings.

I am a survivor. I survived Splitsvilla, I survived after that. I want to inspire people. The gang leaders made Bhoomika perform a few tasks and Rhea applauded her ‘never give-up’ spirit. While they are about to start bidding, Gautam and Prince suggest they should go to Rhea’s team. Gautam stays away from bidding but Prince bids to make Rhea lose roadiums. Bhoomika goes to Rhea’s gang. Mentor Sonu Sood promises Bhoomika to ban that app. He promised to connect with her later.
