Sunil Pal says he has no issues with Kapil Sharma, calls himself a fan; jokes, 'There’s literally langar on his show, half of Punjab is on it'
Sunil Pal, who has always criticised ace comedian Kapil Sharma for the content on his comedy shows and also mocked Krushna Abhishek and Sunil Grover for their acts, is now all praise for the host-turned-actor.
In a recent interview, the standup comedian has clarified that there is no rivalry between Kapil and him and says that he shares a positive equation with him.
While talking to Meri Saheli, Sunil Pal reacted to the rumours of his fallout with Kapil Sharma and said, “I don’t have any issues with Kapil Sharma. In fact, I am a huge fan. Kapil has been running his show for over 12 years now. He has been doing a great job and always ensures his friends grow as well. He is the highest-paid comedian in the world."
He also spoke about why he hasn’t appeared on Kapil’s show more often. He said, “I have never asked Kapil to take me on his show."
He further shared, "In fact, he has invited me to his set multiple times. He often tells me, ‘Please do come here, visit us.’ He loves me a lot. But I believe that is his greatness. I will only go to him when I feel he truly needs me. Otherwise, there is literally a langar on his show — half of Punjab is on it."
Earlier on multiple occasion, Sunil has slammed Kapil Sharma for his show. He even made videos on social media mocking Kapil's show and comparing it with po*n. He once bashed the makers of TKSS for using 'inappropriate and vulgar' language in one of the promotional videos.
In one of the old interviews with Sidharth Kanan, Sunil Pal said, "In the last 40 years, the great Johnny Lever is the only one who truly defined his era and inspired change. I am his devotee and fan. Besides him, I saw a strong force in Kapil Sharma. He reinvented himself — and even Sunil Grover. In the last 20 years, there are hardly five people I’ve seen evolve. Otherwise, many are still doing market jokes, old artiste mimicry, and not attempting anything new."
In the same interview, Sunil Pal shared that he felt sick while watching Sunil Grover perform in a cross-dressed character on The Kapil Sharma Show. He said the act made him feel very uncomfortable.
