Legendary actor and theatre artist Bhim Vakani passed away on April 7. The entire TV industry is mourning his loss. He was the father of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors Disha Vakani and Mayur Vakani. His demise has come as a shock to his family and friends, who are still trying to cope up with the loss. The exact cause of his death has not been officially confirmed. As per reports, he had been unwell for some time. Disha Vakani and her family are currently grieving and have chosen to keep things private during this difficult period. Many from the television industry have been sending their heartfelt condolences to the Vakani family. The last rites of Bhim Vakani was performed recently where Disha and Mayur were seen bidding their final goodbye to their father.
Several videos from the last rites are circulating on social media. In one of the clip from Saas Bahu Saazish, Disha Vakani is seen breaking down while paying her final respects to her father. She looked quite emotional and teary-eyed at her father's last rites. She had her face covered by a mask and a dupatta over her head. In the clip, she is seen with her other relatives and family members. Disha looks deeply affected and is seen trying to control her tears.
Disha Vakani, who has always maintained a private life was very close to her father. She has been working with her father in his theatre group since childhood. Under his guidance, both Disha and her brother Mayur learnt the nuances of acting. Bhim Vakani was Disha's biggest support and the one who motivated her to join the entertainment industry.
In one of our interviews, Mayur had revealed that Disha performed her first play at the age of 5 where she played the role of a 90-year-old woman.
