Kavya Gowda family dispute: Brother-in-law Ravikumar shares his version; Blames property row
Post the actress’s detailed statement on the violent family dispute at her residence, Ravikumar, one of the accused in the case involving Kannada television actress Kavya Gowda, has now reacted and presented his version of events.
Kavya Gowda, known for her roles in popular serials such as Radha Ramana and Gandhari, had earlier alleged that she and her husband Somashekar were assaulted by family members. She also accused Ravikumar of issuing serious threats during the altercation. A police case has since been registered, and the matter is currently under investigation.
He stated that tensions escalated when Kavya Gowda allegedly demanded that certain family members vacate the house. Ravikumar claimed disagreements over shared space and property rights gradually turned into heated arguments.
According to him, the altercation on January 26 involved multiple family members and was the result of accumulated frustration over the property issue. He denied the seriousness and intent of the allegations levelled against him, stating that the dispute has been misrepresented.

Ravikumar Blames Property Dispute
Responding to the allegations, Ravikumar claimed that the root of the conflict lies in a long-standing property dispute rather than the accusations made by the actress. According to him, the family has been at odds for several years over ownership and living arrangements in a large house located in KR Puram.He stated that tensions escalated when Kavya Gowda allegedly demanded that certain family members vacate the house. Ravikumar said the issue did not arise suddenly and has been continuing for more than three years.
