​Celebrity couple Raghu and Amrutha names their baby girl 'Dhruthi' after late actor Puneeth Rajkumar's daughter

Celebrity couple Raghu and Amrutha, who were blessed with a baby girl in 2021, recently celebrated their little munchkin's naming ceremony. In the loving memory of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, the couple has named their munchkin Dhruthi, which is also the name of the late actor's elder daughter. Sharing the news on their official Instagram handle, the couple wrote, "Now you can call me "DHRUTHI" putti. For the love of Appu sir and the light of our lives," (sic)

​Soon-to-be-parents Govinde Gowda and Divyashree pledge to donate their eyes

Comedy Khiladigalu fame Divyashree and Govinde Gowda are all set to embrace parenthood soon. On the occasion of the baby shower, the celebrity couple decided to pledge to donate their eyes after their death. Not just the couple but the entire family members of the soon-to-be-parents pledged to donate eyes. Govinde Gowda shared pictures of themselves pledging to donate eyes on his social media handle. The latter informed that they were inspired by late actor Puneeth Rajkumar in donating their eyes.

In an interview with ETimes TV, Dancing Champion judge Vijay Raghavendra remembered his bond with Puneeth and said, "From a very early age, I have been associated with film, music, and dance. And of course, I would want to remember our late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, who is also my elder cousin's brother. Appu mama was the one who introduced me to western music and breakdance. Ever since then, I have been exposed to the art form and my body just swings to any music being played. So yes, dance has been a part of my life for a long time now and the credit goes to my dancing idol Appu mama."

​Yamuna Srinidhi pledges to donate her eyes

Yamuna recently visited a popular ophthalmology hospital in Bengaluru and pledged to donate her eyes. Speaking about it, the Kanyakumari actress mentioned that it is bliss that another human being will be able to get their eyesight in the future with this one decision to pledge eyes. She even mentioned that she was inspired by late actors Sanchari Vijay and Puneeth Rajkumar, whose eyes were donated post their death.

I am not just a fan of Puneeth Rajkumar as an actor but also for his vision. His vision is incredibly commendable. I think that's also because he consumed knowledge from various parts of the world at many levels. He also knew that a certain kind of content belongs to a particular platform."
