The promos of the upcoming show Jivachi Hotiya Kahili are catching the attention of the viewers. Actress Pratiksha Shiwankar is going to make her debut on Marathi television with the daily soap and she is grabbing all the attention in the promos, too. ETimes TV got Pratiksha talking about how she decided to foray into TV, her desire to play the female lead, support from family and fans, and much more.

​About her lead role in Jivachi Hotiya Kahili

Pratiksha Shiwankar will be playing a lead role on-screen in Jivachi Hotiya Kahili. Sharing her excitement, she said, "I always wanted to play a female lead on TV. It was my dream. I had decided that whenever I would do television, I will play the female lead. So, I waited for the right opportunity and finally bagged Jivach Hotiya Kahili."

​On chemistry with Raj Hanchanale

Talking about her on-screen chemistry with actor Raj Hanchanale, Pratiksha said, "I know our chemistry is being talked about. Even I did not know that our chemistry would look perfect on-screen. We only met a few days before we shot for the promos but still the chemistry is evident and we are really thankful for it."

​Pratiksha on playing a Kannada girl

Pratiksha further spoke about playing a Kannada girl on-screen. She said, "The entire team of the show helped me learn my lines and perform well because I am playing the role of a Kannada girl."

​Love from fans

Pratiksha is blown away by the response she is getting from her fans after the promos are out. She said, "Yes I am so overwhelmed by the love from audience and fans. People have started texting me on social media about the show, my looks and performance. So happy seeing such positive response."

​About how experience in theater helped her

The actress said that her experience of working in plays helped her perform better in the TV show. She said, "My experience in theater indeed helped me work on my character and performed better on TV."
