Hemangi recently posted a video on Instagram about how a round chapati can be made. A section of netizens trolled the actress for her appearance and not wearing a bra while shooting the video. The actress gave a befitting reply to trolls and said that it's her choice to wear a bra at home or not. In an exclusive chat with Etimes TV, Hemangi said, "I think there is nothing wrong with not wearing a bra at home or workplace or anywhere and who are they to tell me what I should wear or not? In an explosive chat withe Etimes TV, Hemangi Kavi spoke about facing rejections in the industry due to her skin tone. She said, "I have dusky skin. I have been rejected many times for my skin color. I remember six TV makers rejected me and denied me an opportunity. They were like, 'acting is all great Hemangi, but skin color matters a lot too'. I was not a suitable and perfect fit for them despite being a good actor."(PC - Instagram)

Hemangi Kavi often writes inspirational posts on her social media. She recently shared her no-makeup look picture and talked about embracing scars. She wrote, "I just want to tell those people that...I am a very ordinary, middle-class girl! During the COVID19 lockdown, Hemangi spread awareness on hygiene issues and stressed on the fact that maintaining sanity is also essential to fight with COVID19. She said, "The commode seat should be kept clean and dry! Make sure that the #flush is done properly so that you don't get a stain. We never take this seriously or leave it as a joke but we unwittingly ignore the many #infections that it causes. There is nothing wrong with learning or understanding this. During the lockdown, Hemangi advised her fans to term the 15-day curfew as the break-the-chain drive rather than considering it as a 'Lockdown'. She elaborated, "lockdown word is itself a very negative word. But in a positive way, consider it as the break the chain drive, and pray that there is no spike in COVID-19 cases!
