​Veena Jagtap quits Aai Mazi Kalubai

Marathi TV show Aai Mazi Kalubai TV has been abuzz ever since its launch. A few months ago, the lead actress of the show Prajakta Gaikwad was axed by producer Alka Kubal due to her alleged unprofessionalism and Veena Jagtap replaced her as Aarya. Recently, the show witnessed a major change. Veena Jagtap, who replaced Prajakta Gaikwad, left the show midway. The close source to ETimes TV said, "Veena decided to quit due to her health issues. She was keeping unwell for the last couple of days and had been facing major health issues due to back-to-back shoot schedules."

Bhagyashree Limaye’s father passes away

Actress Bhagyashree Limaye on Thursday took to social media to inform everyone that her father, Madhav Limaye, has passed away. She posted a picture with her father and wrote, "Rest in peace Baba," According to sources, her father was undergoing treatment in Solapur for severe illness.

​Alka Kubal recalls memories of late actress Shashikala Jawalkar

Veteran actress Shashikala Jawalkar Saigal passed away at her residence on April 4 (Sunday). The actress breathed her last at the age of 88. Shashikala was a part of the blockbuster Marathi movie Lek Chalali Sasarla which featured renowned actress Alka Kubal. Reminiscing memories of Shashikala, Alka told Etimes TV, "In Lek Chalali Sasarla, she was playing a grey shade character of my on-screen mother-in-law, and I was playing a Bholi daughter-in-law who faces domestic violence by her. One day we were shooting for a scene where she had to pull my hair, and she did it so hard that I started crying after that scene. She later revealed to everyone that she did that purposely because she wanted me to give real expressions to the camera.”

​Rashmi Anpat replaces Veena Jagtap

Aai Mazi Kalubai's lead actress Veena Jagtap left the show midway due to her health issues, and Freshers fame Rashmi Anpat stepped into her shoes. Talking about her replacement, Rashmi said, "I am getting a mixed reaction from the audience. I know it's hard for them also to accept me as Aarya. It might take some time, but I will try my best to impress everyone."

Actor Bhushan Pradhan, who began his career with television, is set to return to the small screen after eight years. Bhushan was last seen in the Marathi serial 'Pinjara'.
