Human trafficking: DCW and cops rescue 39 girls from a hotel in Delhi

Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) rescued 39 girls from a hotel in Paharganj area of Delhi. The DCW and cops launched a search operation in the hotel on a tip-off and rescued 39 girls trafficked allegedly from Nepal on the pretext of providing jobs. DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal informed that the girls were trafficked from Nepal and were being sent off to Gulf countries and Sri Lanka. Earlier, 16 girls were rescued in a similar operation in Munirka area of the national capital. DCW has demanded that the union home minister Rajnath Singh should intervene and take necessary action in the matter.
