Kerala gold smuggling case: Two Mallapuram jewellers raided

Customs officials have raided homes of two jewellers in Mallapuram in the Kerala gold smuggling case. The two jewellers are suspected to have been a part of the smuggling racket. It is suspected that most gold smuggled into Kerala are being used by the jewellers. The lid was blown off the scam after customs officials seized a diplomatic consignment that arrived on Emirates Airlines. Some high profile people close to the state administration are also under the scanner.
