Mumbai building collapse: Residents hint nexus between BMC and Shitap

On 20th June, the now arrested Shiv Sena worker Sunil Shitap had applied for cancellation of the nursing home being run on the building’s ground floor. A month after that BMC officials inspected the site and submitted a report saying that the nursing home was shut and no construction was on. However, residents allege that construction work was on behind closed doors, hinting at a nexus between BMC officials and Shitap.
