A rare public rebuke from Abu Dhabi has added a new layer to the regional fallout of the Iran conflict. Anwar Gargash, a senior adviser to the UAE president, openly criticised fellow Gulf states for what he described as an unusually weak response to Iran’s retaliatory strikes following the U.S.–Israeli offensive that ignited the latest phase of the Middle East war. His remarks signaled visible frustration within the Gulf bloc at a moment when regional coordination is being closely watched.
