It also wants complete war reparations, the unconditional release of its frozen assets, and a region-wide ceasefire — including an immediate halt to fighting in Lebanon. These sweeping demands come as high-stakes US-Iran talks continue under Pakistan’s mediation, with tensions still simmering across multiple fronts. United States officials see these conditions as a major challenge, as accepting them could significantly shift the balance of power in the region.
