Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong is set to visit India to participate in the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi on May 26, 2026. The high-level diplomatic engagement will bring together foreign ministers from India, Australia, Japan, and the United States to discuss key regional and global issues.During the visit, Penny Wong will also hold the 17th Australia-India Foreign Ministers’ Framework Dialogue with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and expanding strategic cooperation.The Quad meeting is expected to review ongoing initiatives and enhance collaboration in areas such as maritime security, critical minerals supply chains, infrastructure development, disaster relief, and Indo-Pacific regional stability.The India-Australia partnership continues to deepen as both nations expand cooperation across defence, trade, climate action, technology, education, and strategic sectors under their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.The visit highlights India’s growing role in Indo-Pacific diplomacy and the increasing importance of Quad cooperation amid global geopolitical uncertainty.
