COVID-19: MoHFW gives 17-point guideline for Central government employees joining work amid pandemic

As the Central government offices opened on Monday, April 20 in a restricted manner amidst the ongoing coronavirus lockdown till May 3, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued specific guidelines on Sunday with regard to the functioning of offices. The office memorandum issued by the health ministry asks all officers and other officials to take precautionary measures in order to contain the spread of the COVID-19 infection. It may be noted that the Ministry of Home Affairs on April 15, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an extension in the national lockdown till May 3, came out with guidelines for the second phase of the lockdown. In the order, the MHA had also listed out the exemption in certain activities that would be permitted starting April 20.
