Tiger Woods was arrested on Friday after a crash in Florida, and a newly released police report is now giving more details about what officers saw at the scene. According to documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, deputies said Woods appeared very unsteady and unwell right after the accident. The report says Woods was sweating heavily even while sitting in a police vehicle with cool air on. When he removed his sunglasses, officers noted his eyes looked “bloodshot and glassy,” and his pupils were “extremely dilated.” They also said his movements were slow, and at times he seemed confused.Deputies searched him and found two white pills in his pocket marked “M367,” which the report identifies as hydrocodone, a prescription pain medicine. When asked about medications, Woods said, “I take a few.” The crash happened on Jupiter Island, Florida. Woods was driving a Land Rover that hit a truck pulling a trailer. The impact caused his vehicle to flip onto its side. He later told officers he got distracted by his phone and while changing the radio, and did not notice traffic slowing ahead. He passed a breath test at the scene but refused a urine test. He was then taken into custody and spent around eight hours in jail before being released on bail.

According to the affidavit, an officer asked Woods, “I asked Woods if he was willing to perform a few field sobriety exercises to ensure he was able to operate the motor vehicle in a safe manner.”The officer added, “Woods agreed to perform the field sobriety exercises.”However, while walking, officers observed him limping and stumbling. The report states, “While walking, I observed Woods limping and stumbling to the right.”Woods told officers about his medical history, saying he had gone through seven back surgeries and more than 20 procedures on his leg. Because of that, he said walking and balance were difficult. He also explained that his ankle sometimes “seizes” while walking.Due to these issues, officers asked him to sit instead of continuing physical tests. During this time, the officer wrote, “Once Woods removed his sunglasses, I observed his eyes to be bloodshot and glassy, I observed his pupils to be extremely dilated.”The report also noted, “Woods had hiccups during the entire investigation.”When asked directly, Woods said he had not taken any illegal substances. He told officers he had only taken prescription medication earlier that day. After the crash, he was taken to a hospital for medical clearance but refused treatment. He was later moved to jail, where he again refused to take a urine test that could check for drugs.Woods now faces charges including driving under the influence, property damage, and refusing to submit to testing. He is expected to appear in court before April 17, 2026. The U.S. Sun reported that his representatives have not yet commented.
